The Art Of Waiting

How do you wait when you’re waiting for something to happen in your life?

Do you wait patiently? Are you impatient, miserable, or angry—or do you somehow find a way to wait happily?

Waiting is hard. It’s especially hard when you’re waiting for a new job and trying to remain positive while your brain is constantly thinking about the future, your finances, and what comes next. Add having a family and being a natural goal-setter to the mix, and suddenly waiting can feel like a job all on its own.

I have been working all my life, and it’s been difficult for my brain to disconnect from the routine of working—the schedules, the responsibilities, and always having somewhere I’m supposed to be.

It has now been six months, and I’m finally starting to feel that disconnect. Not in a bad way, but in a way that has allowed me to slow down, focus more on myself, and pursue other interests.

For example, just writing this!

Sometimes, it takes a lot of energy to make the choice to be happy. This world is full of heaviness, and it can be easy to get caught up in it. But there is also so much goodness around us when we make the effort to notice it.

So, my goal for the rest of the year is simple: write my little heart out and share my thoughts with you.

Your opinions might differ from mine, and that’s okay. That’s one of the unique things about this life—we don’t all have to think the same. We can have different opinions, experiences, and beliefs while still respecting one another.

I know there are a lot of people out there going through changes in their lives right now. Maybe you’re waiting for a new job, a new opportunity, a fresh start, or simply waiting for life to show you what comes next.

So, how are you doing while you wait?

I’d love for you to share what you’re going through and what has been helping you navigate the changes while you wait for whatever comes next.
